Anyway...
Anyway...
Wilsern screwed up for his paper yesterday. Among the 4 questions, he only managed to do the first. Hence, he was certained that he will failed the course. Started complaining from 3pm all the way to 7pm when we had our hrm exam.
Hoai did the nicest thing to come down to school from residence upon receiving his phone call.
Not sure if he regrets it upon knowing how weepy he can be.
Anyway,
I just learnt today that for his exam paper, the EXACT same questions came up 5 yrs ago and those who did it finish super early.
Anyway,
I got back an email from the professor from ntu.
Was expecting some confirmation of the arrangement i have made but it turned out:
Hi,
Normally, in a situation like this, I would recommend a student to do IO instead of IA so that he would have the Entire year 3 to clear off the courses.
However, if you want to do IA instead, then you would need to overload in Yr 2 sem 2 and in Yr 3.
I think it would be better for you to take unit ops 2, CH3001 control and the Yr 3 lab in Yr 3 sem 1 since unit ops 2 and CH3001 requires
knowledge of heat and mass transfer. However, it would make your yr 3 very packed. In this case, you should decide
how much you can handle if you decide to take them in year 2. REPLIEd back and received another email the next day:
Hi ,
For information about IO, you should be able to find it in Student Link under Student Attachment.
Basically it is a 10-week internship (instead of the 22 weeks for normal IA). The period for IO will be from
Mid-May to mid-July each year. You have to find (or source) your own company for IO but you can source
Any company you like. There are 5 forms you (and the company) need to fill out once you got the attachment,
And the paperwork should be submitted to CAO (Career and Attachment office) around mid-March.
For your batch and onwards, CH3010 will only be offered in Yr 4.
Actually you are right in that Fluids is a pre-requisite for Heat and Mass. However, if you take fluids first before
Heat and Mass, then there is really not much for you to take next semester.
Among unit ops 2, CH3001 and yr 3 lab, probably best to drop CH3001.
It is okay to spread up some courses to year 4, but don’t overdo it because your year 4 will be very busy,
especially year 4 sem 2 where you have both FYP and Design 2 which will be very intensive and time-consuming.
HOW?
What will you do?
