Keep our stars shining!
I am honoured.
Honoured that there are so many wonderful people around me.
Some of them shine so bright, that at times I can be blinded and stunted by them for just being near.
With them glittering before me, I couldnt help it but to be speechless and be mesmerized by them.
Nevertheless, at times when they shine for too long, we tend to forget their shadows on the other side that was covered up by their brightness.

Stars are afterall stars
If they push themselves to shine too bright, they will be burned out and explode into a giant ball of light emitting their last but brightest trail of light!

They may also be too focus in shining, that they just forget their original source of power.

So lets keep our stars shining! Brightly, yet gently.
Just like a silver crystal... ...

Something strange in the house
I swear that the last time I packed my room was just less than 3 weeks! On top of that, i dont really work around my table much anymore as firstly, I dont have school hence dont need much work place to do my stuff secondly, i dont spend much time at home afterall.

YET, my table mysteriously became so untidy and messy. Anyone can see how the scene can make my thoughts so jumble up by noticing that 'untidy' has the same meaning as 'messy'.

I just couldnt help it but to think in dept for the source of such untidiest and it leads to only ONE possible SOURCE!
it MUST be some supernatural forces that are loitering in the house that are messing up my stuff!!
Yup ,that will explain everything. How come my pens that were supposedly be in the container be lying around on the table. How come my books and notes that are supposedly be stacked up nicely be all around the table and how come bottles found their way up from the kitchen into my room.

See! Everything has an explanation!

Well if it is JOEL reading this post i think he will say that my explanation is bullshit and will rectify by saying,"According to the laws of nature. This must be due to entropy which states that everything in the universe has the tendancy to move to a state of randomess."
This is what we will have from someone who doesn't know "年的故事“and wore BLACK for chinese new year. OF cos these two incidence doesn't really link but i'm just squeezing some issues to shoot him. (that is provided he hasnt been immued already).

Since my holy power isnt enough to shoo the supernatural forces away, i guess i have no choice but to start packing on my own and pray that they will not be back during my absence to make a mess once again. Who knows? maybe they will follow me to canada and start making a mess at my place over there.

haiz...Where are the ghost busters when you need one... Wait! who says anything about ghost? perhaps those supernatural forces are DIVINE Forces?
That will make perfect sense how come my holy power couldnt ward them off.
MUST BE IT!

It is less then 2 weeks before I'll be flying, so i think its apt for me to make sure everything is neat and tidy before my departure.

And for my fans who know me so well, this post is actually my way to procastinate the act of packing up the place once again.....

4Bia (Phobia)
Never have I watched horror movie as this. Most of the time, horror movies were either

1)draggy in the sense that they tried so hard in explaining the situation, it really becomes boring towards the end or
2)senseless that it is just mindless popping out of ghost and stuff.

4bia really have a balance of all aspects. 4 separated stories, each of half an hr. Just nice to build up the plot, to start off the fear part. Once the audience knew what was going on and had a good fright by it, another story began and the whole cycle repeat itself.

Highly recommended to those who have lost hopes in watching a good horror movie.

20082008
I've never felt so empty and distracted for quite sometime until today.

Stayed at home the entire day doing nothing fruitful.

I guess the most eventful thing i did today was to accompany mother for her run. She ran 5 (or was it 5?) rounds around the track! Me, on the other hand, ran 10-12 rounds (lost count). Couldn't recover from my previous run and felt rather strained.

Then we watched the olyampic channel. She just couldnt help it but to critize the basketball player, number 10 in particular, for she used to be number 10 herself in the past.
I got this feeling that at this point of time, she can play basketball even better than me.

20082008, a day that we have been thinking about 5 years ago... ...

Running around !
Training for the half marathon by running around the neighbour is certainly not an easy feat, especially during the 7th month.

Due to my busy schedule, i only find it possible to run at night.
Having the previllage to enjoy the cold night breeze does not really compensate for the need to look out for any buring/burnt/yet to be burnt incense, paper money and items. As i mentioned, it really isnt an easy feat having to sway from left to right and at times back again upon seeing another set of items lying on the floor.

Not only that, the smoke and ashes floating around prove to be much irritating than before. Epecially when you are running short of breath and before you know it you are breathing deeply in ashes.

Well, thanks to my agility. I manage to run away from those possible threats before they could even reach me. ITs similar as how i run quickly to avoid the lightning during stormy runs.

And of cos from time to time, I have to avoid numberous people hanging around the neighbourhood. Certainly,I found it weird as there wasnt really much people outside at night before. What made it so strange was that they were all wearing white attires, loitering around aimlessly.

Sunday is the actual run. I wonder if i can run even faster than before... ...

The little Mermaid
The little Mermaid was the daughter of the king mermaid.

One night, she saved a prince from a violent sea typhoon. She immediately fell in love with the prince since then.

In order for her to be with her prince, she approached the witch of the ocean to exchange her beautiful voice for a potion that could transform her into a human being.
Nonetheless, there was a condition for the little mermaid that was if the she didn't succeed in getting the prince to fall for her, she wouldnt be able to return back to a mermaid again.
She accepted the trade and soon found herself walking the lands with her newly formed feet.

It wasn't long before she found her prince castle. However, by the time she was able to even meet the prince, he had already married the princess from the neighbouring country.

At the seaside, the little mermaid's sisters came to her and gave her a knife. It was the knife given to them by the witch of the sea in exchange for all of their beautiful long hair.

"With this knife, you should kill the prince,"they said from the water, passing over the knife,"you can return to be a mermaid again."

Nonetheless, the little mermaid threw the knife away without a second thought. By the next morning she turned into bubbles and disappeared.

Animals are afterall animals.
They use their instinct.
When they are hungry, they eat.
When they are tired, they sleep.

ITs the same for the little mermaid.
Because she liked him, she wanted to be with him.

Throwing away all her doubts, she endured the pain on her feet.

Just because she wanted to meet the prince, she drank the potion.
She couldn't talk. And since she couldn't express herself, she must have been always thinking about it...

"With this knife. kill the prince!"a sister said,"Then you can stay alive, and wouldnt be turned into bubbles!"
The little mermaid shook her head
"Why?"they asked, knowing that they could never heard her answer...

Because, it will be even more painful if i stayed alive. If he is happy, I'll be very happy. That is why.

When she was turning into bubbles, she loved the prince with all her heart.

Once upon a time, a little mermaid was in love, she transformed into a human... ...

Can Can!
Its about time the Canada Trip excitment came to me. For the first time after so many months, I'm having the trill of going overseas for 5 months! Phew! such a long period of time indeed.

Polly because it is like err... 3 weeks before I start flying... yes THREE WEEKS! And i still haven make payment for my flight, got my medical check up, confirm all my subject matching and make payment for the accomodation and insurance etc etc etc...

It just feel like suddenly the momentum increased playing the back grand music of CAN CAN. Everybody heard the Can can music before right? Together with the dance which goes around kicking and tuning, before u know it, you can spend 3-4 hrs on the comp doing research/emailing ended up feeling tired and worn out.

Checked the accomodation and here it goes!:

Residence: Columbia Lake Village
Building: U36-Columbia Lake Village
Room Number: TH-036d
Room Type :Single room, Suite style (4 bedroom suite)

There bound to be some reasons why it is called the "Lake Village", Probably there is a beautiful lake nearby where i can just sit down and enjoy the intoxicating scenary of sunset. Perhaps from time to time, a lochness monster might just emerge and say 'hi'. Maybe there are mermaids staying underneath the lake and one of them would exchange her voice for a pair of feet because she saw my arrival?

Anyway, i will be living in a suite! meaning it will be a big spacious with 4 bedrooms for each of the 4 occupants! Having a room of my own out overseas sounds scary indeed. We heard stories of how people died in foreign places. They were killed out of jealousy in their own bedroom! In terms of acedemic, sports and looks they are better than the locals. It was days after when someone discovered a dead body locked inside their room... Scary right? Especially i qualify for all 3 aspects. Haiz, i really have to be very careful.

Then for the most exciting part! My housemates!
Lau, Stanley
Lau, Mang
Kim, Tae Soo

Obviously one of them is a korean. He might be my first korean friend! or enemy... My guess for the other two would be from China. Hmm.. What are the odds? Tried to search for them in friendster and facebook. And apparantly, people which such names are not uncommon in canada.
oh well. I figured out that it is rather cool to meet my housemate upon my arrival! just like how i first met kelvin ang! What can i say? I love surprises. Its afterall just a 3 weeks wait.

3 WEEKS!!

----------
Had a sudden urge to check out the blog of the boy with the same name as me, from the blog i gathered he is staying somewhere near canada.

I once have the thought of approaching him but quickly dismiss the thought, it would made me something like a stalker if i do that.
Come on? what can i say? "Hi! You dont know who i am but I've been following your blog for the past year? Simply cos we got the same name!"

haha, I'm sure that will freak him out!
Well, once again, he has another family member with the same name as another person important to me. Talking about coincidence....
To fans interested, his link is just beside

Dazs ist sehr langweilig....
Its not hard to see that the staff from one of the haagen dazs outlets are super bored when

1) One start throwing things from the cash register corner to another at the other corner.

2) All of them stood still, not daring to breath or say a word upon realizing there were someone (me and cy) standing just outside the the entrance, staring sternly at them through the glass window, witnessing their act. It was only after a 10 seconds of silence (and staring) or so, we walked into the outlet purposely giving out loud distinct footsteps, the only sound that was made in the entire outlet.

3) Tried to remedy their act of unprofessionalism by having the THROWER (the one who threw the object) to approach and greet them with a great smile,"how may I help you!". Only to received an aloof expression, and being ignored completely.

4) The rest of the staff continued standing still behind, looking conscientiously at their (probably first two of the day) customers, constantly whispering softly discussing what to do to remedy.

5) Tried a second attempt to approach the customers who were analysing their icecream but yet to say a word. This time they got the RECEIVER (the one who was being thrown at) for the job. "How may I help you?"she said uneasily, fearing that she would be ignored. Probably for the first time in her life, she realised how scary silence could be. "I'm looking for icecream,"I replied solemnly, finally giving in to her by replying.

6) RECEIVER lost in her own emotions. NOt knowing whether to behave in her usual friendly way or to stand still beside giving a serious face only to talk when spoken. So much so she couldnt remember the prices and had some trouble with her sums.

7) RECEIVER purposely, passed the items purchased to the THOWER so that he could pass it over to me forcing me not to ignore him. And upon handing over, both stood side by side and tried their last attempt with big smile,"Thanks for coming! see you again!"

WEll its only polite to smile back. Afterwhich cy and i tried to get out of the outlet as fast as possible so that we could finally burst into laughter!

unpack from hall!
Words of wisdom from my dear mother,"You should never buy good quality clothes. The better the quality the clothes you bought, the harder it can be tore or worn out, the longer it can last you, hence the harder it can be thrown away. And before you know it, accumulation!"

I never really bought any clothes before, most of which are 1) given to me by friends/parents 2) 'given' to me throught camps and events (marathon shirt) 3) Forced to purchase (eg lab coat etc..)

Therefore, saying that my cupboard is accumulating with tonnes and tonnes of clothes was due to MY own purchase doesnt seem fair to me right? Mother found it too good to be true that the shirts multiply on their own without me shopping, hence we spend half the time (eventhough I should be packing) playing the game,"where does this shirt comes from?"

"What is this hard white clothes?" she said, pointing to the lab coat,"where got people buy such thick clothing one?"
"Oh its my lab coat, I'm supposed to wear it for my experiment. It is compulsory for us to buy,"I replied, emphasising that i was required to buy it, putting the coat on.
"Your coat so many creases and stain,"she commented on the creases due to the folding," you like that do experiment where got SEI? People will not dare to let you do experiment one, wear like that will have the can cause accident look."

-_-

"oh what is this shirt?"she continued upon setting her eyes on the ntu welcome cemony jacket,"So nice and red, must be bought one right?"
"This one is given to me by the school,"I clarified,"I didnt even wear it before lor."
"School where got so nice give everyone jacket, who you stole it from?"she insisted.
"really lor, see that tag 'welcome cemony',"I replied immediately, pointing that the tag that should have been removed a year ago,"its so ugly lor, i dont even dare to wear it"
"ok mah, nice what"
"ITs like everyone in the school have this lah, if i wear it will not be special...""

So ended up, we spent half the remaining of the half the time (that we used to play 'where does the shirt comes from') commenting on how ugly, how nice, how cheap, how good the shirt can be.

I, together with choonyan, spent 4 hrs 2 weeks ago just to pack everything nicely to be brought back home. Whats make anyone think that unpacking (then packing into my room) the stuff any easier?

back to track!

M is the word
went out with MIMI today,
we went to pray her Mother early in the morning...
followed by watching Mummy in the afternoon
ended off with a sensational foot Massage!

---------------------------

Was actually rather distracted the whole of today. Consider it the post holiday- pre canada syndrome.
Truely, the entire 3 months holiday is indeed fulfilling for me. Every single day was a surprise, an adventure and romance. So much so that it feels that there is just so little time for so much more.
I told yan that for her upon school starts, she should be very happy that it finally begin and continue to focus on her studies. Simply because that she had well spent her holidays to the fullest. Feeling sad that the school starts would conversely mean otherwise.

Nonetheless, this is a different story for me. I have exactly one more month to go. Another month for me to put in everything i have to finish up all the unfinish business. Due to this reason, i gave up my plan to sit in with the yr 2 Kanzas to listen to their one month worth of lecture or to come back school just to join them for lunch/dinner. Or even come down to school to meet up with my ntu juniors (like my no 1 fan edwin..etc..)That was why, I went for their last drinking session having the goal of intoxicating myself together with them for the first and last time.

I kept on mentioning since the beginning, this is the year of the 20082008. August for me is no doubt important to me... another sin from the past....
With that, once again fans give me your support.

camps!!
Finally back home after a week plus of tiring hall camp. On the contrary of receiving a warm greetings from the family, I was first welcomed by mother.

"What happened to your eyes? you got beaten issit?" she said, commenting on the dark rings which appeared mysteriously out of no where around my eyes,"aiyoh... you should....

and before i know it, she could very well be the beauty consultant in those watson store who goes around humiliating you about your facial features in hopes for you to buy something from them...

Father, on the other hand, came back after the yearly national day dinner (which for the first time i didnt attend).

"where were you all these while?"he asked,"I thought you went missing..."

So much for showing concern yeah?

Being a programmer for hall 6 camp was tough indeed! with 3 hrs to sleep for the first 3days, and 4 hrs for the next 2 and none at all for the last night. But as the saying goes, it doesnt matter how tough or what road it is, it is who you are going through with that is important. Well, I'm glad i am able to go through it with people important to me.

Certainly, you dont have camps that go around hiding and almost being arrested by the police. Or forgo some games to have a 3 hrs badminton session. Or played mahjong till 4am in the morning, only to realise that we need to wake up at 630 in the morning.

Exactly 1 more month till my trip to canada.
Still having mixed feelings.

Certainly, there are many many advantages of going for such exchange.
a)Maybe when i come back and my students know that i have studied in Canada, polly they are more willing to pay me more for the upgraded education or something along that line.
b) I heard that those who went canada can have free canada pizza in the new canteen A!

haha! getting mroe and more practmagtic these days.

Nonetheless with 1 more month to go, i have yet:
1) pay for the air tickets (though alex is nice enough to help me do the booking already)
2) confirmed all the subjects
3) do my medical examinations
4) tell my fans and family that its 99% confirm that i'll be flyin off 3rd SEPTEMPER and comeback on the 3th JANUARY!
5) Do SHOPPING!

etc etc... so many things so little time..
